Maaaan, Kate Ivey is a badass Mama. A mum-of-3 based on a Mackenzie Country drystock farm, she’s also a full-time professional personal trainer + life-changer. In 2017, Kate founded ‘DediKate’ — the supportive online community which helps women prioritise their health and fitness.

“When I became a mum,” Kate explains, “I felt there was a real need. I wanted someone to look up to, someone to inspire me in my workouts and with my health… Someone I could relate to. But that didn’t exist, not really. That’s when I realised I could be that person for other people.”

plus! KATE'S TIPS FOR STAYING MOTIVATED THIS WINTER✨

 

  • Set goals. Then, hold yourself accountable to someone — whether that’s an online community like DediKate, or a group of friends at home. Knowing you’re not alone, and that everyone else is working on their own goals can make all the difference.

  • Remember: your busy life doesn’t have to get in the way of your health/wellbeing. Making time for a 20 minute session 4x a week can be life-changing.

  • We’re all human, and we all have bad days. A bad day/week doesn’t matter — just park it, refocus, and move on. That’s *exactly* when you’ll start seeing results, I promise.

  • Feel like giving up? Know that it’ll all be over soon.

  • Still struggling? Visualise what you’ll do after your workout. If I’m picking up the kids from school at 3, I just think about how good it’ll feel to pick them up after a fast, powerful workout. Keep going!
